Think Ocean's Eleven with Magicians, In a Good Way: Our Review of "Now You See Me" (2013)

Synopsis: FBI agent Dylan Rhodes (Ruffalo) teams up with an Interpol agent (Laurent) and a former magician (Freeman) to track down a team of illusionists called "The Four Horsemen," who somehow pull of bank heists during their elaborate performances and give the money to their audience.

Andrew: Hello readers! Last week Sarah and I were able to catch an advance screening of NowYou See Me, the new film directed by Louis Leterrier, who is probably best known for directing The Transporter and The Incredible Hulk. Now You See Me stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco as a quartet of illusionists…

Sarah: Called “The Four Horsemen”…

A: Who make a name for themselves with elaborate stage shows, during which they pull off bank heists and give the money they've stolen to their crowd, which naturally draws the attention of the feds. Mark Ruffalo plays the FBI put in charge of figuring out how they do it, and Melanie Laurent, - best known for playing Shoshanna in Inglourious Basterds - plays an Interpol agent who is assigned to work with Ruffalo.

S: Michael Caine plays the casino owner who pays for the grand shows the Four Horsemen put on, and Morgan Freeman plays an older magician who now gets rich by debunking magic tricks with online videos, essentially breaking the magician’s code.

It's Die Hard in the White House, and We Like It For That!: Our Review of "Olympus Has Fallen" (2013)

Starring: Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott

Rating: R for strong violence and language throughout

Run Time: 2 hours

Synopsis: Mike Banning (Butler), the former head Secret Service agent to President Benjamin Asher (Eckhart), has been demoted to working the Treasury Department after Banning saved Asher in a car accident but couldn't save the First Lady. When North Korean terrorists infiltrate the White House and take Asher and part of his Cabinet hostage in order to get U.S. troops pulled out of the Korean DMZ, Banning ends up being the only man who can get inside the building and save the President.

Andrew: Hello readers! The other night Sarah and I decided to catch a movie that's been out for a few weeks and we hadn't had the chance to see yet, and that movie was Antoine Fuqua's Olympus Has Fallen, starring Gerard Butler (300) and Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight).

In the film Butler plays former U.S. Army Ranger and Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who - after the White House is attacked by a North Korean terrorist group - winds up being the only man who can stop the terrorists from their fiendish plot.  Honestly this was a film that we were terribly interested in seeing but we needed to see something and this seemed like one of the better options out of everything in theatres we haven't already seen. Sarah, what did you think of Olympus Has Fallen now that we've seen it?

The Fourth and Final Trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" is Here!

Andrew: And here's our second trailer for the day! Arguably the most anticipated movie of the year, Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises has had three trailers already, but here's the fourth and final one.


It includes a lot of footage we've already seen, but it also includes some new footage, including Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman getting a couple lines in. Oh yeah, and lots and lots of explosions. I keep getting stoked for this film and I know Sarah is, too. So check out the.  new trailer and remember, The Dark Knight Rises comes out one month from tomorrow!

Last night at the MTV Movie Awards, Christopher Nolan and the cast of The Dark Knight Rises walked on stage and introduced a new trailer of sorts for what may be this year's most anticipated film.


It has some new footage including different scenes of Bane looking pretty menacing and new shots of how Selina Kyle (a.k.a. Catwoman) will be coming in to play. Check it out below. It's pretty sweet.


The Dark Knight Rises comes out on July 20th and stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Marion Cotillard and Joseph-Gordon Levitt.

"The Dark Knight Rises" Has a New Trailer!

Andrew: Hello readers! Yes, two posts in one day! It's likely a new record for us, and it's for good reason!


The official website for Christopher Nolan's final entry into his Batman trilogy launched just the other day, and thankfully it also means they've released a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises - one that is said to be attached to this weekend's The Avengers (read our reivew of that here).


July 20th needs to get here RIGHT NOW because this trailer just makes me even more excited to see TDKR. Check out the trailer below!
